    Every year, the development vector of data centers shifts toward providing cloud services to expand their capabilities and provide them with a competitive advantage. And their customers can use cutting-edge technologies without having to worry about the cost of infrastructure and its maintenance, as well as the ability to scale resource consumption to meet their needs.

    Datacenter Parkovyi has engaged the Netwave team to update and expand the datacenter’s existing technological capabilities in order to provide its customers with more opportunities to use cloud resources and services.

    About company

    Datacenter Parkovyi has been operating since 2013. It is the largest and most modern data center in Ukraine, with a total area of 930 sq. m. There are seventeen machine rooms with a total capacity of 400 cabinets containing customer equipment. The data center provides server rooms for rent and offers cloud solutions for businesses.

    The data processing center is the only commercial data center in our country that has been designed and built in line with the Tier III reliability level, as evidenced by a certificate from the Uptime Institute. Also in 2020, Datacenter Parkovyi confirmed a high level of information security (ISMS) and successfully passed re-certification for obtaining the international ISO/IEC 27001 certificate.

    task immersion

    The main task at hand was to launch IaaS and BaaS services to the market and lay the groundwork for future cloud architecture services such as Disaster Recovery, SaaS, PaaS, and Hosted Private Cloud.

    solutions

    Our customer chose Dell equipment to build the cloud infrastructure, including the Dell VxRail software and hardware complex and network switches. Based on that complex, a hyperconvergent infrastructure was built using VMware’s Enterprise class virtualization technologies.

    result

    The problem of a painful transition from the old architecture to the new one is solved by the solution based on the most recent stack of products. It introduces a new architectural approach to developing public clouds. For all cloud service providers who utilize older versions of NSX and vCloud Director, this problem is currently urgent.

    • Veeam Backup & Replication is used to extend the functionality, namely Backup-as-a-Service
