project background

alt text

The first Creative States co-working space was opened in Kyiv in 2019.

This is a co-working format unique for our market, a totally different approach to the provision of services to residents.

Key points:

  • Focus on details of the tenants’ needs.
  • The unique space design encouraging cool ideas and projects.
  • Space mobility and scalability: the location is adaptable to the tenants’ needs.
  • Support of the residents’ business with high-tech infrastructure (fast and reliable data transmission, security, comfort of work from any device, and multi-platform interaction).

This approach surely also required perfect technology in the location. From collaboration tools and convenient interaction to network infrastructure technology for a guaranteed connection speed, seamless coverage throughout the location, and easy network management.

About company

A network of high-class flexible business spaces with a full range of operational services and a unique community. The first location is in the Senator business center, in the historical heart of Kyiv.

our results

task immersion

The Netwave and Cisco team did radio and Wi-Fi planning and selected equipment to meet the customer’s needs. Meraki devices turned out to be the best option.

advantages of solutions

They are easy to install and configure, robust, and offer a high level of fault tolerance. They also guarantee a high speed and protection of data transmission for each co-working space resident while using online services and resources. This is important because the key customers of the co-working space include young operating start-ups that collaborate with partners, remote workers, and customers. Online tools are used for communication and data exchange, which makes them flexible and successful in the market.

technological results:

  • We have built a WAN network that allows for connecting two providers and traffic balancing depending on the communication channels availability (SD-WAN).
  • Cisco Meraki firewall-based protection against network threats has been introduced.
  • A secure network infrastructure and uninterrupted Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi access have been provided.
  • We have also implemented a single console network management system (four zones within the location).

new business opportunities

ensuring

Of a comfortable working environment for residents in the common business space, high-quality, uninterrupted, easily administered Wi-Fi roaming.

implementation

Approach: Wi-Fi as the primary data transmission medium. We were able to avoid using wires for connecting landline and mobile devices so that residents can quickly and easily change the configuration of their spaces whenever they need.
This also allows to easily move throughout the location with visitors and use co-working areas (presentation rooms, meeting rooms, recreation zones) in daily work and project implementation.

management

The location maintenance team was provided with a user-friendly, convenient tool for analytics, network management, and access control which helps monitor the behaviour of residents and visitors in real-time and adjust the location to their needs and behavioural scenarios.

ensuring

We have also ensured a high level of the network security using real-time remote control of the devices connected to the network. It is very easy now, even for a remote administrator, to analyse the traffic topology and detect unauthorized activities attempted in devices.
